电影《独自生活的人们》是凭借短篇电影《好爸爸》（2018）而备受瞩目的韩国电影学院出身的洪成恩导演的长篇处女作，获邀参加第22届全州国际电影节（2021）的韩国竞赛单元。
　　《独自生活的人们》讲述了拥有独自孤独的我们每个人的故事。是一部在每五个家庭中有两个家庭是"1人家庭"，"1人家庭"比率接近40%的2021年，通过温暖的视线描绘并不同年代1人家庭的生活的作品。

　　目标成为作家的青年李钟秀（刘亚仁 饰），平日里靠兼职养活自己。经营畜牧业的父亲不谙人情，官司缠身，迫使钟秀又要为了搭救父亲而四处奔走。这一日，钟秀在某大型卖场重逢了当年的同学申惠美（全钟淑 饰）。惠美计划近期前往非洲旅行，于是拜托钟秀照看爱猫Boil。不久后惠美回国，与之一同下飞机的还有名叫本（史蒂文·元 饰）的男子。本驾驶保时捷，居住在高级公寓内，优哉游哉，不见工作，四处玩乐，和钟秀相比有如天上地下。不知为何，本走入平民钟秀和惠美的生活，更向新朋友讲述了他奇特的癖好。在钟秀家小聚的那个晚上过后，惠美仿佛人间蒸发了一般无影无踪……
　　本片根据村上春树的短篇小说《烧仓房》改编。

　　该片以视听障碍人支援法《海伦凯勒法》为素材。《海伦凯勒法》是指国家人权委员会2008年1月针对视听障碍残疾儿童不能接受教育的现状进行调查，并制定的相关政策。虽然已经过了12年，但人们对视听障碍人的认识仍然很落后。

　　Soo-jung is camping on Jukdo Beach, while Jung-yong has left there for a long time and returned. Soo-jung and Jung-yong inevitably meet surfing on the beach. Besides, Jukdo Beach, which emerged as a surfing hot place, gets sick and tired of the heat as time goes by and the girl surfer Beezoo is finally destined to leave there.

　　该片由香港、韩国与泰国三位导演陈可辛、金知云与Nonzee Nimibutr的三部短片《回家》、《失忆》与《轮回》组成。
　　《回家》讲于辉（黎明）鉴于以往经验，深信用中药泡澡能令自己死亡三年的妻子（原丽淇）复活，但因行为诡异致使警察邻居（曾志伟）警觉，引发悲剧。《失忆》讲妻子（金慧秀）死后的灵魂回忆其被丈夫（郑普硕）杀害的过程。《轮回》则是借泰国两种截然不同的传统艺术，通过街头艺人哥东（舒伟烈）的一系列离奇遭遇，讲述了“不是不报，时候未到”的因果报应。

      在巴黎，青海（曹在显饰）是名来自韩国的年轻人，他靠小偷小骗谋生。洪山（张东直饰）是个来自朝鲜的逃兵，同是非法移民身份的两个人，由于青海偷窃了洪山的东西而结识，并开始了一份兄弟友情。偶然机会，青海认识了一位同落难的白人女子考林，她依靠着一个法国流氓生存，生活困苦。　　之后黑社会老大赏识洪山，便招其为手下，而两个替黑社会老大卖命的人也失去了自由。因为考林的缘故，青海几次背叛了洪山。最后他们一起被扔进了海中，异国他乡的命运就如此完结了么？

　　Nine-year old Eunhee anxiously prepares for her recorder exam as she struggles to find a place within her own family.

　　荷娜（金惠娜 饰）在寻找母亲的路上，遇到了妇女莫红。为了给女儿买钢琴，，莫红不惜以卖淫换取酬劳。同样命途多舛的人决定一起寻找一个属于自己的地方，她们想摆脱一切让人身心劳累的现实状况，寻找一个叫花之岛的地方。
　　她们来到一个雪山，相信往南走就能到达理想国度。突然有一天，她们遇到了一个垂死的女孩躺在堆满雪的车子里。两人合力把这个叫友金的女孩救出。原来友金本拥有美妙歌声，不幸的是她患上了喉癌，欲放弃生命的她被荷娜她们救起，三人决定一同寻找花之岛。
　　那个梦想中的花之岛，会是怎样的呢？

　　这部影片交织着两个分别用黑白和彩色胶片拍摄的故事。头一个故事讲述的是一位名叫全台的贫苦青年从1965年到1970年的经历。期间他从街头小贩变成了服装厂工人，工厂环境骇人听闻，于是他购买了法律书籍，寻求政府援助，组织工会，与新闻记者交流。但情况始终没有得到改善，于是他采取了一项可怕的举动。五年之后，一位名叫Shin Jung-Soon的年轻孕妇追随全台的道路，也试图在她工作的服装厂组织工会。之后她便受 ...

　　Kim Dong - sik, a securities company employee, feels an inferiority when his wife 's business succeeds, and her position in the home becomes blurred and gradually wanders. With this escape from wandering, the hostess will have extramarital affairs. Then, when his character is indecisive, he will have another home with this guidance, and will fall into deeper conflicts and abyss. 　　李瑜瑛饰演的报社编辑记者恩书在寻找新家的时候，没有选择合同到期的单间公寓，而是选择了与分居的父亲被迫同居一段时间，从而体会到了家的意义。

　　渴望有朝一日成为万人瞩目明星的大学生海媛（郑恩彩 饰），她的妈妈即将移民加拿大。母子最后的相处时光，充满喜悦和感伤。平淡而短暂的几个小时后，海媛孑然一身。心情低落的她找来了断断续续交往一年的恋人李成俊（李善均 饰），同时也是海媛所在电影学校的教授兼导演。对于已经成家的李导演，他们的交往从一开始就注定只能藏在黑暗里，永远上不了台面，无论那个男人曾说出怎样刻骨铭心的甜言蜜语。学校里风言风语，女学生与教授的不伦之恋传言甚嚣尘上，他们之间也难免出现矛盾，争吵过后干脆避而不见。

　　伊莎贝尔·于佩尔饰演了三个完全不同的女人：法国女导演、婚外恋中的阔太太、被韩国女人抢走丈夫的弃妇。她们性格迥异，在故事里却一样来到异乡，来到一个叫茅项的偏僻海滩，住在清新的海边民宿的同一间“天号房”里，被同一个女孩带路，遇到同一个有好看帐篷的愣愣救生员，甚至借来的那把浅蓝色雨伞都是同样的。而故事通过细节的迥异也有了不一样的发展，她们想寻找却一直没有出现的灯塔也不知是否是同一座。
　　电影入围第65届戛纳电影节竞逐金棕榈奖。法国演员兼歌手简·伯金（Jane Birkin）在韩国公演期间受邀客串出演了本片。

　　堪萨斯的农民威廉（克林特·伊斯特伍德 Clint Eastwood ）年轻时曾是出名的杀手和劫匪，然而当遇上了克劳迪亚后，他的生活开始彻底改变。威廉和克劳迪亚结婚生子后，洗手不干，一家人过着幸福的生活。好景不长，克劳迪亚不久故去，威廉独立带着两个孩子过着清贫宁静的生活。

　　Synopsis
　　Do-seong (Yoo Min) is a child monk who lives at a small mountain temple with the head monk (Byeon Ki-jong), learning the teachings of Buddha. He becomes attached to a young widow (Choi Eun-hee) who comes to pray at the temple, and the childless widow entreats the head monk to let her raise Do-seong as her own son. Conflict ensues when Do-seong's real mother (Kim Seon-young) appears, but she leaves the temple for the sake of her son's future. On the day the widow is to take the child down from the mountain, the head monk discovers that Do-seong has killed a bird by ensnaringit in a trap and decides not to let the boy go into the secular world. When Do-seong finds out that his real mother has been to the temple, he sets out to find her.

　　A Hometown in Heart, adapted from playwright Ham Se-deok's A Little Monk (Dong-seung), was hailed upon its release as "a masterpiece that marked a new pinnacle in Korean moviemaking after the liberation." Eschewing new-school sentimentality to quietly express a boy's longing for maternal love, the film unfolds the everyday lives of three generationsthe head monk, a young monk, and a little child monkagainst the backdrop of a quiet temple in the mountains. The long shots utilized by director of cinematography Han Hyung-mo to capture the beautiful scenery of the mountain temple from a distance received great critical acclaim at the time. Also, each of the film's characters is convincingly portrayed through the skillful direction of Yoon Yong-kyu. In particular, the scene which expresses Do-seong's desperate yearning for a mother's love and his birth mother's past visit to the temple by combining them into a dream sequence reveals deep consideration for articulating story and emotion via a compressed visual grammar without tending toward sentimentalism. The movie's final scene, in which Do-seong awakens from his dream and sets off down the path in search of his mother, is both touching and beautiful. The film also features Choi Eun-hee, in the part of the young widow who warmly embraces Do-seong with her love, in one of her first roles.

　　- Lee Kang-su, writing under the pseudonym of Kwak Il-byeong, first adapted playwright Ham Se-deok's A Little Monk (Dong-seung) into a screenplay, which was then shot for the silver screen with additional embellishments by the director.

　　水原小学四年级学生禹荣达的父母出门经商半年没有来信，荣达靠祖母每天捡破烂挣来的钱勉强生活着。祖母生病，无法支付3个月学费的荣达没有去学校。他朋友的姐姐贵兰把米送到了荣达家，班主任田代老师也来家访，把学费交给了祖母。但是房东把那笔钱拿去顶了房租，所以荣达又不能去学校了。祖母问荣达， 能不能去平泽的姨妈家取学费。
　　早上荣达很早就乘牛车出发，在居酒屋取水，走了6里（约20公里）的路，平安到达了平泽的姨妈家。第二天，荣达拿到了学费和大米坐公共汽车回来，跟祖母打了招呼后，就跑到学校交学费。田代老师让荣达看了同学们为他攒钱的友情箱，说今后不要担心学费，要好好学习。荣达从学校回来的时候，收到了父亲的来信，信上说母亲生病了所以没能联系荣达，同时还寄来了一个装有钱、衣服和鞋子的包裹。农乐队过盂兰盆节期间，荣达的父母回到了故乡。

　　在汉城郊外，独自一人的青年余永元（韩石圭饰），经营着一家从父亲接过来的小照相馆。他时常带着微笑，坦然面对生活，照相馆里挂着不同的照片。
　　女交警金德琳（沈银河饰）由于工作的关系，每天都要到照相馆冲洗照片，由此认识了老实的永元。有时候她会抱怨照相馆门开得太晚，显得那么天真可爱，他们一起撑伞散步，讲些琐事，日久生情，永元与德琳都发觉自己不可收拾地爱上了对方。
　　但永元却有着难言之隐，不能直诉给德琳。季节更替，八月过去。见不到永元的德琳写信给他，塞在照相馆的门缝中。冬天的雪地里，德琳在闭门的照相馆橱柜中，见到自己的照片……

　　Synopsis
　　"Falsely accused as the murderer of my own husband... Oh, the cruel machinations of fate!" A female teacher (Lee Yong-ae) gives shelter to an escaped convict, but her husband, misconstruing her intentions, reacts violently and accidentally stabs himself to death in the process. The teacher is charged with her husband's murder, but fortunately the prosecutor on the case is a former student of hers, of whom she had taken painstaking care when she was working at an elementary school. Remembering her kindness to him, the prosecutor uncovers her innocence in court, and she is acquitted of the crime.

　　"A silent movie that allows us to examine the narrator-accompanied method of 16mm films" (Chung Jong-wha)
　　A Public Prosecutor and a Teacher is familiar to us for the performance of Shin Chool, Korea's last silent movie narrator (known as "byeonsa"in Korean). Numerous critics have recommended the film, praising it as "a silent movie that allows us to examine the narrator-accompanied method of 16mm films" (Chung Jong-wha), "the work of Korea's last silent movie narrator" (Kim Hong-joon), a movie that "reflects the public's consciousness and has great historical value" (Lee Seung-hun), and "the archetypal new-school film" (Chung Sung-il). As evidenced by such commentary, A Public Prosecutor and a Teacherenjoys greater recognition for its historical value as the only surviving silent movie in Korea than for its artistic or technical aspects. What is ironic is the fact that this recognition derivesfrom a production and screening method that fell behind the times, as sound films (or "talkies") had already become the norm when the movie was first made. Its inclusion in the list is therefore based on its historical, social context rather than on the film itself.
